“Empowering Minds, Enlightening Communities: Unlocking Uganda’s Future through Education and Literacy”
The Brick September 2024 Edition
As we celebrate Rotary’s September theme of Education and Literacy, we shine the spotlight on Uganda, a nation where knowledge and skills hold the key to unlocking a brighter future. With over 50% of its population under the age of 18, Uganda’s youth are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to their country’s development.
However, challenges persist. According to UNESCO, over 2 million Ugandan children are out of school, and adult literacy rates linger below 70%. The Rotary’s focus on Education and Literacy this month serves as a timely reminder of our collective responsibility to address these disparities.
In this special issue, we explore RI president and District Governor’s messages, followed by that of the Club President and a host of articles from Members:What is What?? Deciphering a critical divide between Education and Literacy
